Dear Blog.
In 2045 all over the globe, every bit of coal had been consumed. In 2056 all of the reserves of natural gas in the world were emptied out. Today, may 24th 2065, every drop of oil in the world has just run out. Therefore we have just now run out of all the fossil fuels ever discovered on earth.
That means no gas for the vehicles, no coal fueled powerplants and no natural gas for heating up our homes.
14 years ago, the UN and EU formed a strategy to enhance the use of renewable energy sources, and also made quotas for the use of the remaining fossil fuels on Earth. People ignored the guidelines and some even began to think that this was all a scam from Greenpeace or a likeminded association and that we would never run out of fossil fuels.
Unfortunately the strategy did not work as planned, which is why we are finding ourselves in this situation today.
Of course we will still gain electricity from the wind, sun, waves etc. but after the news broke out, almost every grownup has gone frustrated because of the new problem of finding another transportation method than driving.
I have a son at the age of 17, and like any other teen he has been looking forward to getting his driver’s license since a very early age, and now he will never be able to get it.
The prices of cars are dramatically dropping. Actually every device that runs on fossil fuels is dropping in value. In opposition to that, the prices of renewable energy are constantly raising. The inhabitants of The Earth are in a serious crisis at the moment, and I certainly hope that we will invent some sort of device that can run by using air or water, or at least extract the energy from persistent energy sources more efficiently.
Sincerely Thomas
